This class covers all equipment that is not directly used in sample or specimen production and characterization yet which forms a discrete part of the infrastructure of a laboratory (in the way that benching, fume hoods etc do not).
Swagelok’s orbital welding system has a unique modular fixturing providing the versatility to weld numerous tubing and component combinations required for system fabrication. Using reliable gas tungsten arc welds and featuring a light-weight portable power supply, the Swagelok orbital welding system is capable of providing consistent, precise welds for tubing diameters from 1/16 to 4 in, (3 mm to 104 mm).
Multichannel Pipetting System
A TecanTM EVO multichannel pipetting system is used for formulation dispensing and other sample work-up needs. Eight independently addressable pipettes are mounted on one robot arm allowing dispensation into eight wells in a single operation. Under deck stirring and plate manipulation are also possible with this station.
The TC Series of environmental cycling reach-in test chambers include both temperature-only chambers and temperature / humidity chambers. The Tenney TC Series Cycling Test Chambers offer design features for optimal performance such as a high volume horizontal-down air circulation system with an electric heating system and a mechanical refrigeration system. If the humidity option is selected, a vapor injection type humidification system is used to condition the product. A wide range of options can be added to enhance the equipment.
Perform daily applications safely and efficiently with the Thermo Scientific™ 1300 Series Class II, Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinet, which include: Cabinet; manual, adjustable height stand; factory installed UV light and a set of armrests. These safety cabinets deliver exceptional design and technology advancements such as superior protection with proprietary airflow design, exceptional ergonomics for a safe and comfortable environment, and outstanding energy efficiency for operational cost savings.
Save valuable lab space with Thermo Scientific™ MaxQ™ 6000 Incubated/Refrigerated Stackable Shakers, which offer sample storage and orbital shaking with intuitive, easy-to-use digital controls. These shakers save space by stacking units two-high on the floor. Use the adapter set (available separately) to tier two 18 x 18" platforms to double shaking capacity.
Shearing Action: The four adjustable hard tool steel knives are bolted to a removable rotor. These knives work against six stationary knives bolted into the frame. The shearing action tends to avoid changes in the sample due to temperature increase, moisture loss, liquefaction, contamination, etc. caused by crushing and abrasion methods. The clearance of opposing knives is precisely adjusted for shearing clearance. Each stationary knife is independently adjustable. The fan effect of knives provides increased throughput and quick clearing of the chamber.
Annealing and densification furnace. Capable of wafer sizes up to 150mm. Temperature range of 200 - 850 °C. Gases used: N2H2, N2, Ar, O2. System can also be setup for 1200 °C with 100 mm wafers.
The FM6X Turbine Service unit is required to operate the FM60, FM61 and FM62 turbine demonstrations. The unit includes a compact three-phase pump, controlled directly from a PC via the IFD7 interface unit (an essential accessory).
The Thermal Twin process offers new opportunities in extruded foods. For example, products that are high in corn or rice content can be processed without the stickiness previously encountered in other extruder designs. Starches may be fully cooked without damage to functional and organoleptic properties.
In pet food applications, the ability to use high levels of thermal energy also provides the potential to produce specialty foods and treats with up to 90 percent fresh meat (as a percent of the dry recipe) and up to 40 percent moisture without changing the extruder configuration.
