The core of the EyeLink 1000 eye tracker consists of a custom designed high-speed camera connected to a dedicated Host computer. Running on a real-time operating system, the Host software provides extremely fast eye sample access with incredibly low inter-sample variability, accessed via a set of programming interfaces for multiple operating systems and programming languages.
The EyeLink 1000 Plus is the world’s most precise and accurate video-based eye tracker, sampling binocularly at up to 2000 Hz. It is also the most flexible and customizable, with multiple mounting options, interchangeable lenses, and multiple head free-to-move remote configurations.

The Tower Mount for the EyeLink 1000 Plus uses an infrared hot mirror to maximize the field of view. The mirror is transparent to visible light but reflects the infrared light used to illuminate the participant’s eye.

The EyeLink 1000 Plus camera can be easily detached from the Tower Mount and transferred to any other mount.
The EyeLink II system consists of three miniature cameras mounted on a comfortable padded headband. No mirrors are used in the EyeLink II system, making it very robust and easy to set up. Two eye cameras allow binocular eye tracking or easy selection of the subject’s dominant eye without any mechanical reconfiguration. An optical head-tracking camera integrated into the headband allows accurate tracking of the subject’s point of gaze without the need for a bite bar.
