Sample Measurement and Analysis

Equipment in this class carries out specific measurements and analysis techniques on samples and specimens. The differentiating characteristic of equipment in this class, compared to the Materials Characterization class, is that it is a complete or whole sample or specimen that is used.

Vibrant 355Q Tunable Laser System

The VIBRANT 355 series of products are motorized, turn-key tunable laser systems that utilizes OPOTEK’s patented* optical parametric oscillator (OPO) technology to generate a broad tuning range with high efficiency. All system components (pump laser, OPO, control electronics and optional accessories) are integrated into a single unit which results in a compact, robust design. The system includes optics necessary to separate OPO wavelengths which all exit the system at the same location.

xiSpec Hyperspectral Camera

Instead of using a mosaic pattern of hyperspectral filters, this camera features a line-wise arrangement of 150 HSI bands. Thanks to the high frame rate of the image sensor, this camera enables detailed and crisp captures of moving objects at multiple wavelengths. Thereby the objects can be moved orthogonally to the horizontal color filters of a mounted camera, e.g. on a conveyor belt, or the camera can be attached e.g. to a UAV, which flies over a large area. The visual and near-infrared (NIR) spectrum of this camera is especially relevant in agriculture.
