Leaf Area Index (LAI) is the ratio of foliage area to ground area. The LAI-2200 computes LAI from measurements made above the canopy and below the canopy, which are used to determine canopy light interception at 5 angles. These data are fit to a well-established model of radiative transfer inside vegetative canopies to compute leaf area index, mean tilt angle, and canopy gap fraction.
The benefits of the LAI-2200 over other methods such as ceptometry and hemispherical photography are that it:
The portable Jerome® 631-X Hydrogen Sulfide Analyzer displays low-level concentrations in just seconds. It offers an analysis range of 0.003-50 ppm for odor and corrosion control, safety, and leak detection in such industries as wastewater treatment, oil and gas, pulp and paper, and farming. This simple-to-use instrument utilizes an internal rechargeable battery pack or AC power, and is easily carried to suspected sources of hydrogen sulfide for detection and measurement.
Mobile Hydraulics Training Simulator. This new simulator is based on many years of instructional and field experience. This fluid power training simulator is designed to ensure those involved with the study of hydraulics, specifically mobile applications, have the most cost effective, hands-on method of presenting a practical demonstration of the principles taught within the classroom. In addition, this simulator is designed with capability for an instructor to easily place a fault within the unit at the flick of a switch.
Definition: All oils and fats have a resistance to oxidation which depends on the degree of saturation, natural or added antioxidants, prooxidants or prior abuse. Oxidation is slow until this resistance is overcome, at which point oxidation accelerates and becomes very rapid.
The length of time before this rapid acceleration of oxidation is the measure of the resistance to oxidation and is commonly referred to as the “induction period”, or Oxidative Stability Index.
Eaton’s Training Services newly redesigned Portable Electrohydraulic Training Simulator (PETS-II) is based on many years of instructional experience and our previous, highly acclaimed designs. This fluid power training simulator is designed to ensure that those involved with the study of electrohydraulics have the most cost effective, hands-on method of presenting a practical demonstration of the principles taught within the classroom.

The compact, yet ruggedly constructed W Series Laboratory-Scale Hammer Mill offers tremendous flexibility while producing results comparable to high production models. A robust, portable gravity discharge hammer mill, the W Series is scalable and ideal for batch, small production or pilot projects. It is highly versatile and able to reduce a variety of materials to a fine granular or powder consistency.
The W Series Laboratory Scale Hammer Mill is a gravity discharge hammer mill that produces results scalable to their high production counterparts. The W Series is ideal for processing small hogged wood scrap, wood chips and planer shavings.
The effects of physical parameters of a screw press machine on oil yield of seeds were studied using a KOMET Screw Oil Expeller. Different nozzle size (6, 10, and 12mm), extraction speed (21, 54, 65 and 98 rpm) and diameter of shaft screw (8 and 11 mm) were applied in this study. Different nozzle size, diameter of shaft screw and rotational speed do effect the percentage of oil yield. By using shaft screw with diameter of 8 mm had resulted to the decrease of oil yield with the increase of nozzle size and rotational speed.
