SCANARRAY 3000 BIOCHIP ANALYSIS

The ScanArray 3000 (Packard BioChip Technologies) is a confocal laser scanning device used to detect and quantify hybridization signals and is specifically designed to scan DNA microarrays fabricated on 25mm x 75 mm glass slides using Cy3 and Cy5 fluorescent labels. The ScanArray 3000 is operated using a dedicated Gateway GP6- 400 and ScanArray image acquisition software. Additional specifications include a pixel size resolution of 20x20 ?m or 10x10 ?m, a green helium/neon @543nm laser (ClassIIIA) with an output power of 0.004-0.0015 Watts in Channel 1 and a red helium/neon @633 nm laser (ClassIIIB) with an output power of 0.005-0.010 Watts in Channel
